Iaito - Jidai Shogun Koshirae

This wonderful sword stands out due to its high-value manufacture and its simple but noble design. A sword of a territorial lord. Fuchi and Kashira are silver with plastically worked out gold adorned chrysanthemum motifs. The chrysanthemum is also the emblem of the Japanese imperial family. The high-value iron-made Tsuba with antique finish also pictures a stylised chrysanthemum blossom. The Menuki are designed as fans. Behind them there are pictured stylised silver cherry blossom leaves. A popular Zen and Bushido motif as expression for life and momentariness and the spirit of the samurai.

At our flagship sword the winding and the Sageo with fishbone pattern are made of silk. The Same is especially precious, too. The Same pearls become larger at the end of the hilt. Same with so big pearls aren't usually used for Iaito but rather for real swords. According to the worth of this sword the Saya eyelet (Kurigata) is adorned with a golden Hitome.

The blade is wonderful weighted and premium. The blade is hold by two Mekugin. The Mekugin allow a easeful and stable handling. By default the Jidai Shogun will be delivered with a heavy 8mm thick blade.

At this sword you have the possibility to order a blade with double Hi for additional costs. Alternatively you can order the sword with a standard Hi with a lighter blade. A sword with a double Hi isn't unfortunately available with lightweight blades.

Of course the Hamon is also noble. The Doran Hamon with double line is included in the price.
